During Lockdown he became interested (as did many people) in electronic communication.

He is shaking out his dog collar and finding clerical shirts which fit!
It has been officially announced that I will be the new Rector of the Garrowby Hill Benefice near York. This includes:-
St. Edith Bishop Wilton
St. Mary Full Sutton
St. Mary Skirpenbeck
St. Andrew’s Bugthorpe
All Saints Kirby Underdale
These are all extremely beautiful, rural villages in the Yorkshire Wolds at the bottom of Garrowby Hill.
It has all happened very quickly. Two months ago, I was happily retired in Hunmanby when something happened which made me look at the job description for the Benefice. After reading the profile, watching the video, and making a visit we felt a nudge from God to come a across to serve and minister with them for the next few years.

It is a half time job so we will be keeping our house in Hunmanby (our address and contacts therefore stay the same). We hope to be returning to Hunmanby permanently at the end of our time.

The Last Supper by Leonardo Da Vinci
In 2025 I visited Milan and saw the LAST SUPPER by Leonardo Da Vinci "live".
This detailed document is all about the painting. There is a history of the painting, information about the composition, the sources, the food in the painting, the way hands are drawn, as well as something about the many conspiracy theories. Leonardo painted this as a reaction painting, with the disciples responding to the news that Jesus is to be betrayed by one of them. There is a lot, in the document, about each individual disciple and what we know about them. Although some of the information strays outside of the Biblical accounts and narratives they are included as the stories would have been well known to Leonardo and his audience. At the centre/heart of the painting is Jesus.
